Meets ASME B16.11, MSS-SP-79\83\95\97 and BS3799 standards.
It is a connector in between nominal bore pipes.
They are available as socket weld fittings or threaded fittings.
Material conforms with carbon steel A105 and stainless steel SS316.
Carbon steel cost lower, but stainless steel offers excellent protection against corrosion and rust.

Forged steel fittings are made by cutting and heating billets, then pressing them under dies to form desired shapes, trimming, and shot blasting.
